Leadership Philosophy
Leadership can take on many forms, as it is interpreted differently among people. Leadership is not something that can be picked up right away, nor is it something that can truly be mastered. I have found that participating in activities that focus on personal leadership as well as the facilitation of leadership, is key to learning what works for you and what doesn’t. A lot of times, people will associate the word manager with leader, but those two words are not always synonymous. I like to focus on a few aspects that place me into the leadership role.

I value knowledge, credibility, communication, and trust. Those four terms are related in a way that when they all work together, it creates a masterpiece. Knowledge and credibility go hand in hand because without the right knowledge of how to achieve your goal, your credibility among peers diminishes quickly. This then leads into communication and trust. Being open with people will help me gain their trust which in turn will cause them to have more faith in my ability to lead them to the end goal. Leading by example (you have to walk the talk), making and keeping commitments, establishing clear goals, and acknowledging achievements are strategies that I will be sure to follow.

Utilizing those strategies will help me build teams and foster an excellent teamwork environment to accomplish goals. Being a good leader is essential to having success in work and personal life. I will follow my leadership philosophy and constantly find new ways to enhance it as you can never stop growing and improving. You essentially have a personal brand that you must build up and by utilizing my strategies, I will not only establish myself as a person, I will also establish myself as having successful leadership qualities.
